On the afternoon of November 8, the first regular low-altitude manned flight route in the province was launched, connecting Shanghai to Shaoxing’s Yuecheng District. This inaugural flight covered a total distance of 162 kilometers, using a Bell-429 helicopter. The helicopter flew at an altitude of 200 to 300 meters, maintaining a cruising speed of approximately 200 km/h, offering a smooth and comfortable experience for passengers. Taking off from Shanghai Airport, the helicopter reached its destination in Yuecheng’s Jianshui Tech City in under an hour.
According to the Yuecheng District Transportation Bureau, discussions are currently underway to finalize the pricing for the regular low-altitude manned flight route, with a single trip expected to cost around 1,000 RMB. Compared to high-speed rail and road transportation, the low-altitude route offers several advantages, including a much shorter travel time and one-stop service. The route provides direct access to international airports, offering a “seamless” global connection and avoiding the inconveniences of traffic transfers. Passengers on the test flight reported a smooth experience after going through the necessary check-in and security procedures. They also had to watch a safety briefing video, which emphasized the prohibition of carrying 12 types of items, particularly lithium-ion batteries.
“This Shaoxing-Yuecheng to Shanghai helicopter service is the first regular inter-provincial low-altitude manned route in Zhejiang Province, marking the official launch of the ‘Low-altitude +’ aerial travel mode,” said a spokesperson from the Yuecheng District Transportation Bureau. “We plan to open more aerial routes in the future to offer a variety of travel options to the public.”

越城区交通运输局消息，常态化低空载人航线相关费用正在紧锣密鼓洽谈，单趟预计在千元左右。与高铁、公路相比，低空载人航线不仅时间短，还具备一站式服务、一站式直达等优势，相关机场设立异地航站楼，在越城打“飞的”直达国际机场登机，实现全球各地“无缝直达”，尽可能避免交通周转带来的不便。据试飞乘客介绍，抵达直升机机场，登记相关信息顺利通过安检后，还需要观看安全须知视频。其中提到禁止携带12类物品，特别提醒不能携带锂电源移动电池。
“此次启动的绍兴越城到上海直升机载人航线项目是浙江省开通的首条跨省常态化空中载人航线，这标志着我们正式开启了‘低空+’出行的空中交通模式。”越城区交通运输局相关负责人表示，今后计划适时开通更多空中航线，丰富群众出行方式。
